Welcome to Solstice Woods!

We’re so glad you’re here! Solstice Woods started as a small group of friends and family with a shared love of woodworking — an obsession with exotic wood species, a love of chainsaws, and a tendency to say “I bet I can make that.” What began as weekend and late-night projects eventually grew into a full-fledged business.

At Solstice Woods, our work is defined by a distinctive aesthetic, blending natural beauty with thoughtful design. Some of our pieces are one-of-a-kind, crafted from unique cuts of wood that tell their own story. Every type of wood has its own properties and own history, and we’ll be sharing more of what we learn along the way.

Speaking of history, our wood shop has a story of its own. This now-rustic little building was built long ago as a horse barn (though it hasn’t housed a horse in over 40 years). It became a wood shop many years ago, but running a business has revealed its limitations. We’re gearing up for a big renovation to transform it into the professional workspace we need, and we can’t wait to bring you along for the journey.

This blog is where we’ll share it all — behind-the-scenes looks at our projects, time-lapse builds, renovation stories, woodworking tips, product reviews, and the occasional unexpected adventure that comes with working in a wood shop.
